Radio Domus: DigiKundi — fact-checking inside community WhatsApp groups
A community-intermediary model: train the WhatsApp admins themselves and build a public archive of checks.

The problem: streams of unverified information circulating in the community WhatsApp groups the station belongs to, needing checks in the community's own language and nuance. The approach: train the groups' own admins in fact-checking, run a dedicated desk (three computers, six journalists trained), and build toward a public archive where each completed check — rumour, source links, verified response, date — becomes reference material for the next. The outcome so far: thirteen fact-checked stories, with the archive planned as the module's public face. The replicable idea is the community-intermediary model: equipping embedded WhatsApp admins rather than keeping verification solely inside the newsroom.
