Radio Domus: DigiKundi, fact-checking inside community WhatsApp groups

Unverified claims circulate through the community WhatsApp groups Radio Domus belongs to, and checking them takes local language and context. Unlike LRB's agent, DigiKundi relies on trained people before software. Instead of building a tool, the station trained the admins already active in the WhatsApp groups on fact-checking. They also set up a dedicated desk of six trained journalists, which has produced 13 fact-checked stories so far.

Each story is logged in a growing archive that records the rumour, source links, verified response and date. This makes every check a reference material for the next one. The plan is to make the archive public and plug it into the station's in-development moderation tool, Safeguard (theme 8), so that past checks can surface when moderating audience comments.
